New Starters

Our new starters - whatever their age- are supported to make the transition between home and Chanctonbury Preschool with gentle care and we move at their speed working closely with you to make it a truly happy experience

Preschool

All our children have the opportunity to play indoors or outdoors as they wish and we provide a wide range of toys and equipment that they can mostly access themselves. If a child has a specific interest we will strive to provide opportunities and resources to explore it further.

Busy Bees

In the year leading up to their next step to school, our "Busy Bees" have their own classroom with resources and activities suitable for the next level of learning. They have short period of adult lead listening and attention activity and / or working cooperatively in a group.

Our Approach

Our children learn through their play. We make sure we are always led by what the children want to do and look for ways to develop their ideas and build on their strengths and interests
